Q: What makes this building so special?
This 20 story pre-war tower was constructed in 1931 by George Frederick Pelham and originally named St. James House. Since that time, residents have enjoyed panoramic views of the Hudson and the Park, and a sunny southern exposure. Stonehenge has carefully renovated the interiors of its 1080 Amsterdam while honoring the art deco beauty of its original architecture. With sunken living rooms, original terrazzo floors in the lobby and hallways, and a marquee that nods to the New York of yesteryear, 1080 Amsterdam offers a living experience of grace and convenience.
